Shorts and Socks:

For Hippo students -  $10/student for 230 students

We have had the T-shirts donated by the Quach family that are patients and friends of Dr. Chaus.

 This need has partially been filled, thanks!

 

Shoes:

We last bought shoes for some of the students at the Banda school in August 2008, but 1 1/2 years later, there is a new group of them in great need of shoes.

100 students @ $8 each  - good used shoes bought at the local shoe market

This need has now been filled

 

Textbooks:

Textbooks and readers for the new school year and the new Grade 7

This need has now been filled, thanks Justus and friends from Winnipeg

 

 

Houses: 

 

We will continue to build houses throughout the year. We can meet with the moms, buy the land and begin these projects when we are there, and they can be completed by Moses and Moses (our handy-dandy construction guys) in our absence. $750 pays for the land, title, labour and brick house with iron sheet roof, wooden doors and windows and locks.

 

 

 

Furnish a House:

 

As we continue to build houses (number 81 is next), we would love to continue to provide the basics for each family which includes:

 

3 Mattresses - $60

2 Mosquito Nets - $8

4 Blankets - $24

 

 

School Supplies: - Term 1

 

Let's spoil the Mukono school this time and give them a boost with some supplies like pencils, exercise books, paper and some craft stuff - $200

 This need has now been filled

 

 

We are now a registered charity in Canada and tax receipts will be issued at the end of the year.  We are self supporting, so we can give all of your gift straight to the families.
