Ok, a lot of you know how much we debated putting this page on our website. We just didn't want anything to do with the "money" topic. Over the last year, almost everyone we talked to about Banda asked us how they could help, especially once they found out that because we are self supporting, we can give 100% of any donations to the kids and be here on the ground to facilitate it. We will update the list below as new projects and needs come up and you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on these little sweeties. We realize that even with video, pictures and stories it is hard to really understand how desperate it is in Banda when you are so far away. Our goal is never to depress, guilt or overwhelm you with the struggles of the children here but to give you the facts and figures straight up that so you can see how far your giving can go and how life changing it can be. Please pray for us and the people of Banda and enjoy the adventure through the website.
We will be back in Canada for the months of May, June and part of July to visit our family and friends and to re-load our finances by going back to work for a bit. We will be coming back to Uganda at the end of July when Dr. Chau and his family will be joining us to do volunteer dentistry.
There are many very poor villages that need our help with basic needs such as blankets, mattresses, mosquito nets, clothing and new or improved housing. Any donations between now and when we come back will go towards the village where Wycliffe, our friend and Hippo Africa Uganda Director, comes from, near the border of Kenya. We will arrange for it's delivery when we are back in August. We can't thank you enough for all of your help with so many projects this year, we could never have accomplished so much in such a short time without you guys. The school in Banda is still going full-steam ahead and we are very grateful to those of you who continue to help support the monthly costs of running it.
